Website terms & telemedicine consent

Understand your care.

Terms version: EKAA-2026-10-25-v1

By accessing or using this website, you agree to the Website Terms below. Reviewing this page or browsing this website does not, by itself, constitute informed consent to medical treatment. Before a telemedicine visit, you will be asked to affirmatively accept the Telemedicine Consent and may ask your provider questions.

Website Terms

Purpose and eligibility. Ekaa Healthcare provides information about virtual healthcare and access to appointment, intake, and payment services. Website content is general information and is not a diagnosis or individualized medical advice. This service is intended for adults 18 and older. A provider must be authorized to treat you in the state where you are physically located during the encounter. Listing a state does not guarantee that a provider or appointment is available there.

Accurate information. Provide accurate identity, location, medical history, medications, allergies, symptoms, and contact information. Do not use this site to impersonate someone else, seek fraudulent documentation, or interfere with its operation.

Fees and treatment. The visit fee is $55 for any complaint appropriate for telemedicine. Each additional visit is separately charged. Medication, laboratory, imaging, and outside-provider charges are separate. Payment does not guarantee a particular diagnosis, prescription, note, referral, outcome, or appointment. Your provider may determine that in-person or emergency care is necessary. Review cancellation, refund, and rescheduling policies in the booking or payment platform before authorizing a charge.

Clinical relationship and communications. Browsing, submitting a request, or making a payment alone does not establish a treatment relationship or confirm that your information has been reviewed. Clinical care begins when a provider accepts and conducts your encounter. General website messages are not monitored for emergencies; do not use them for urgent medical decisions.

Privacy and third parties. Use only the designated patient intake and portal to send health information. External booking, payment, laboratory, and portal services have their own applicable terms and privacy notices. Review Ekaa Healthcare’s Notice of Privacy Practices and privacy information in the patient intake platform before submitting medical information. Website terms do not replace those notices or authorize unrelated disclosures.

Rights. These terms do not waive patient rights, excuse negligence, or limit protections that cannot legally be waived. Updated terms apply prospectively as permitted by law; material changes to clinical consent require an appropriate new consent process.

Telemedicine Consent — review before your visit

What telemedicine involves. A licensed healthcare provider evaluates you remotely through video and, when appropriate and permitted, other communications. The provider may review your history, symptoms, images, and test results and recommend treatment, prescriptions, testing, follow-up, or referral within their scope of practice.

Benefits and limitations. Virtual care can improve access and convenience. It may not permit a complete physical examination or immediate testing. Missing information, poor image or sound quality, or technical failures may delay care or affect evaluation. The provider may stop or redirect the visit when an in-person examination, testing, or emergency assessment is needed. No outcome or prescription is guaranteed.

Privacy and technology. Reasonable privacy safeguards are used, but electronic communications carry risks such as interruption or unauthorized access. Use a private location and a secure connection. Do not record the encounter without express permission from all required participants. Tell the provider who else is present.

Your choices. You may ask questions, decline telemedicine, request in-person alternatives, or withdraw consent before or during care. This does not cancel charges for services already provided under the disclosed payment policy. Withdrawal does not undo lawful actions already taken or required medical-record retention.

Location and emergency planning. Confirm your physical address and a callback number at the start of the visit. If the connection fails, attempt to reconnect and follow your provider’s agreed callback plan. Call 911 for an emergency or immediate danger. Telemedicine and portal messages do not replace emergency services.

Follow-up. Follow your treatment plan, complete recommended testing, and seek in-person care if symptoms worsen or red flags develop. You may request access to your clinical records and ask how to contact the practice for follow-up. Confirm the applicable contact and response instructions during your visit.

Affirmative agreement. Before treatment, you must acknowledge that you have reviewed this consent, understand its benefits, risks, limitations, and alternatives, have an opportunity to ask questions, and voluntarily agree to telemedicine. Website use alone does not provide this consent. Any additional state-required disclosures or consent steps must also be completed.

For emergencies, call 911. A virtual visit cannot safely address every complaint.
